FAQs
Can I take Naker if I have a shellfish allergy?
No, you cannot. As Naker is entirely composed of ground mother-of-pearl sourced from inside an Oyster shell, individuals with a shellfish allergy should refrain from using it.
What is the difference between nacre powder, mother-of-pearl powder and pearl powder?
Mother of pearl powder is another term for nacre powder. It is derived from the iridescent inner layer of a mollusk shell, known as nacre. They are essentially the same product termed differently.
All three powders primarily consist of calcium carbonate (aragonite), conchiolin - a protein unique to mollusk shells, and various trace minerals beneficial for skin and bone health. They stimulate collagen production, enhance skin elasticity, and are utilized in medical applications for bone regeneration and repair.
Is Naker suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians? Is Naker Kosher?
Vegans: Nacre powder is derived from the inner layer of mollusk shells, is not suitable for vegans due to its animal origin.
Vegetarians: Considered acceptable for vegetarians who avoid meat but consume other animal by-products.
Pescatarians: Suitable for pescatarians who consume fish and seafood.
Kosher: While derived from a non-kosher animal, nacre powder is made from an inedible part of the oyster, thus technically permissible under kosher dietary laws.
